Plot :: After recovering from a serious illness, Sakiyama Yoji hoped that everything would finally return to normal. But soon after returning to school, his world begins to change — and no one seems to notice. Strange symptoms torment his body, and vivid hallucinations of blood and flesh haunt him every waking moment. At the same time, two classmates begin to feel a strong and inexplicable interest in him.

A visual novel that feels like an omegaverse story… but isn’t. So don’t panic. Though honestly? Even if it was omegaverse, I think it could still work. The story does a surprisingly good job of carrying this "particular" kind of setting, so it doesn’t come off as cringey or weird – at least not in the way you’d expect.

Surprisingly enough, this might be my favorite Nitro+Chiral title so far. Something about it really hit me – maybe it was the plot, maybe the unusual choice system, maybe the emotional whiplash where you're like "oh, things are finally looking up!" and then BAM – someone dies. I should probably mention: there aren’t really any purely good endings here. Something always goes wrong. Just a heads-up, okay?

Visually, I’ve got no complaints – N+C did a great job, as usual. (but like… is it just me, or do some of the "high school students" look suspiciously like 30-year-old men?)
The background sound design is also pretty unique – not just melodies, but abstract, ambient effects that really add to the atmosphere.

TW :: violence (psychological and physical), blood (lots of it), internal organs and things that resemble them (a lot), kidnapping, cannibalism, death, suicide attempt, religious trauma, animal cruelty.
My rating :: 8/10. Creepy and tragic – perfect if you’re in the mood for something unsettling and want a good cry.
